Located by the bank of river Falgu, it is the most holy place for the followers of the Buddhist faith all over the world. In fact, Bodh Gaya is the most important of the main four pilgrimage sites related to the life of Gautama Buddha, the other three being Kushinagar, Lumbini & Sarnath. Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The disciples of Gautama Siddhartha began to visit the place during the full moon in the month of Vaisakh (April-May). Over time, the place became known as Bodh Gaya, the day of enlightenment as Buddha Purnima, and the tree as the Bodhi Tree. 

There are two distinct and unique architectural themes at play in the hotel design. The first is of Memory - where one tunes into the historical roots of Buddhist architecture rich with brick details such as vaults, corbelled arches and stepped jambs, which are all developed in a contemporary visual style to represent the present.
